Present in the atmosphere at the level of 0.9%, the argon is a neutral and colorless gas as the nitrogen.

It does not maintain the life. It is widely used by industrials, due to its high level of chemical slowness:

• avoids the oxidation of pigments;
• limits the proliferation of bacteria;
• protects food against the destruction;
• reduces the respiratory coefficient of the raw vegetables;
• inflate the car's air bags;
• etc.
